Many of our clients take on a new garden at the same time as bringing up a young family. This is a good time to ensure that we provide a safe and stimulating environment for the children, but also to future proof the garden so that it is flexible enough to cope with the family’s changing needs.
In this garden we had to address serious drainage problems before we could begin to create the features that were requested. Land drains were installed across the garden linked to a soakaway. Lawns, a play area, a large and comfortable patio, a child friendly water feature, willow wigwam, lighting and summerhouse were designed and the planting was a mix of shrubs and wildlife friendly herbaceous perennials, along with key trees matched to the garden conditions. We also sourced the furniture and handmade sculpture for the water feature and finally, advised on a suitable maintenance contractor.
