This front garden was in need of a complete redesign. We replaced the dated concrete path with a circle of cobbles and setts to create a feeling of enclosure whilst providing an easy and attractive path from the entrance up to the front door.
Sunny back garden for a young family
This garden has been designed to complement the new kitchen extension, maximise the views through the enormous glass doors and make life simple and easy for this young family.
Hampstead courtyard
As with so many urban gardens the design for this apartment courtyard in Hampstead had to overcome several problems – shading from nearby buildings and trees, traffic noise, lack of privacy to name a few.
A family garden
Many of our clients take on a new garden at the same time as bringing up a young family. This is a good time to ensure that we provide a safe and stimulating environment for the children, but also to future proof the garden so that it is flexible enough to cope with the family’s changing needs.
An Elemental Roof Terrace
This roof terrace had a terrific view over London, but could be quite exposed. The client wanted somewhere nice to relax in the evenings, and somewhere to eat breakfast.
Primary School Sensory Garden
This sunny corner of the school links the playground to the main entrance. It was originally a small pond surrounded by railings and overgrown with weeds. The children could only access it when the gate was unlocked and they were supervised by a teacher.
